About Me
I hold a Master's Degree in Counseling Psychology from the Holistic Studies Program at John F Kennedy University and a certificate in Advanced Psychotherapy Theory from Santa Clara University. I believe strongly in the power of change and the positive impact that a supportive therapeutic connection can have on those who are struggling. I offer skillful and compassionate support to clients seeking tools for increased coping, greater self-understanding and relief from emotional pain. I believe there is room in therapy for more than just tears... My clients often find that laughter, curiosity and levity are also a part of the process as they develop new life skills and more satisfying relationships.
I've worked with clients of all ages in a variety of settings, including County Mental Health, school-based counseling programs, community agencies and Hospice of Santa Cruz County. I treat a wide variety of emotional and life adjustment issues, from mild anxiety and depression to more serious mental health concerns. I work from a Holistic perspective, addressing the needs of the whole person using various theoretical approaches and techniques, tailored to suit each individual. I am trained in the Hakomi Method of Experiential Psychotherapy, and enjoy bringing this somatic-based work to the therapeutic process. Feel free to contact me TODAY for a free 30-minute consultation. I have a warm, compassionate nature, and truly enjoy the work I do!
